Q. Can I use a STL model for my stock Model?

A. Yes, there are two methods of using a STL model as a stock model.

• There is a new variable available that activates a direct stock model from an STL model. This STL model must be a closed solid and clean. The benefit of this new stock model type is a more accurate stock model and quicker calculation. To use this stock model you must add WNC_USE_STL_STOCK_OPTION=1 to your environ.cfg.
  
  
  
   
• If the stock model is not a closed solid or is a partial sheet, you can still use it. To use this type of stock model you will use the CAD Model option to add the STL model.
