Q. What has changed with collision checking in V23?
A. Precise collision check was introduced in V22. This module has been enhanced, in V23, and is used in holder collision check, toolpath splitting, the Auto-5 module and Machine limit/collision check.
The precise collision check allows exact collision ranges to be detected and displayed. This means that the exact start and end and all points in between are detected and displayed. This allows greater fluidity and accuracy for toolpath splitting. Also V23 allows machine context surfaces and clamping systems to be used in the collision check process.
